An applied research practice of Qwalora LLC
Our purpose
To produce evidence that holds up, about problems that matter, across science, technology, environmental, social, and interdisciplinary research. Cybersecurity is one discipline among several, not the identity of the practice.
How we approach research

We begin by defining a question precisely: what is known, what is contested, and what evidence would change our view.

We design studies, models, and prototypes that can test the question under controlled and documented conditions.

We assess results against stated criteria, record limitations, and distinguish what was observed from what was assumed.

Where evidence supports it, we develop working systems, methods, and tools that others can examine and use.
Research principles

We start from a defined question, not from a technology looking for an application.

We state what was observed, under what conditions, and how confident we are.

Methods are described in enough detail for others to examine and, where possible, repeat them.

Every result is published with its limitations. Negative and inconclusive results are recorded.

Sponsorship and commercial interest do not determine conclusions. Funding sources are disclosed.

Proposed work is never presented as completed work, and nothing is listed before it exists.
Research ethics and reproducibility
Where research involves people or personal data, it will be designed with informed consent, data minimisation, and appropriate ethical review before it begins.
We aim for reproducibility: recording data provenance, versions, parameters, and environments so that results can be checked. Where data or code cannot be shared, we say why.
Security research is conducted within authorised scope and with responsible disclosure.

Qwalora R&D is a practice within Qwalora LLC, a for-profit limited liability company registered in New Jersey. It is not a nonprofit, a university, a government laboratory, or an accredited research institute.
